XANDER'S 10TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
Xander McKnight Gonzales, one of our five (5) grandsons had his 10th
birthday on March 21, 2019 and we had a birthday party celebration for him
at the Pizza Inn, Rockingham, NC on March 23, 2019 after 11ish A.M., before
the noon time rush hour!
Those attending were: Lisa, Lily and Xander Gonzales, Wink and Rachel Myers,
Travis and Trevor Huneycutt, Sue Newton, Joyce aka my bride and Bill aka
Mickey Porter, yours truly.
GOING BACK IN TIME
It seems like only yesterday, we were in Stamford, Texas visiting with the
Gonzales family and celebrated Xander's
1st birthday with his Texas grand
parents and relatives. Time really goes by in a hurry and doesn't
wait for no one.
LET THE PARTY BEGIN
Our waitress was Lillie and she quickly got our drink orders and most of us
hit the hot bar. I fixed my bride and myself a salad and then offered
a prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ to bless the food to the nourishment of
our bodies. I later put a special order in for a Pepperoni pizza and a
Monster on New York style crust. There were plenty of pizza on the hot
bar and I loaded a plate of pepperoni and cheese for my bride and myself. Her
favorite pizza is pepperoni and cheese and it has to be from the Pizza Inn.

I let Lisa take a few pixs with the ole antiquated Canon 30D 35mm DSLR
camera and I even saw a pix or two of yours truly. Normally, I am
behind the camera and this camera is not prone to allow a Selfie like all
the
Obamaphones aka cell phones in usage

XANDER OPENING BIRTHDAY CARDS
Lily was sitting at the end of the table near myself and I was totally
stoked watching her eat pizza from my plate and getting small cherry
tomatoes from my bride's salad bowl, whereas she would pop the little tomato
into her mouth getting the Ranch dressing off it and then slipping the
cherry tomato back into the salad bowl since she doesn't like tomatoes.
Every time I took a pix, she would point to the camera wanting to see a
preview of what I had just taken.
As is my usual MO aka Modus Operandi,
I got a little side tracked talking about Lily and now back to Xander and
the birthday card opening. Xander did real well and I observed some of
those dead Presidents on the folding money that had Jackson's photo on
it.......grin if you must!
CAKE CUTTING TIME
After our birthday party lunch aka dinner to us older generation, the
Pizza Inn staff brought out Xander's birthday cake singing a festive and
lively version of Happy Birthday.
Xander's colorful birthday cake came with a spinning top too!
In closing, our waitress Lillie did a fantastic job keeping everything
running along smoothly. Speaking for myself, I had a great time and
glad the invited guests were able to attend.
It would not be Bill aka Mickey Porter if I didn't add one of my favorite
sayings to this page, "Two of the Greatest Ships
that ever sailed, Friendship and Fellowship",
of which they continued to sail today with a light March wind moving the
sails in harmony with our Life!
It was a fantastic birthday party and I give God the praise, glory and
honor through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior in all things and thankful for my
family, friends and each and every day that He allows.
